I'm currently reading The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater. I heard this YA novel was going to be turned into a movie so I decided to check out the book beforehand. So far, it is actually a cool little story. I am enjoying the dual story lines. Cheers!

Clockwork

I had a very good talk with my dad yesterday. With him and my mom spending time away from each other, he has been very sad lately. We probably had the best conversation with each other in years. Both of my parents are in my thoughts constantly. I am hoping for the best.

Samantha and I moved into an awesome house this weekend! It is twice the size as our old house and much, much nicer. We are looking forward to spending a long time here. More on this in later posts.

In other news, I finished reading an excellent book called The Clockwork Three by Matthew Kirby. This book falls into the steam punk genre which I am fond of right now. It is also a 2012-2013 Mark Twain Award Nominee. I recommend this book for middle school children and adults.

Even though my life is busy and stressful, it keeps going on like clockwork. I know it will get easier soon. Here is to getting through rough and stressful patches. Cheers!

Tie Dye Night

On Friday, I facilitated a tie dye craft during the Teen Night program at the Library Station. It was a good time. I got teens who never participate in anything to make their very own tie dye shirts. How cool is that? Here are a few pictures:

Tough Few Weeks...

The last few weeks have been stressful. My mother had surgery for breast cancer, graduate school started, and Samantha and I still haven't found a new home to move into yet even though we have until September 15 before our lease is up. Hopefully things will settle down in the next few weeks and life can go back to normal.
